“Proof that Orgone Energy Exists?”
A live streamed talk by Philip Bennett, Ph.D., with questions from participants
(Presented in English with Spanish translation)
Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 3PM EDT
The talk will be a discussion of an article, “Double-Blind Controlled Experiments and the Orgone Energy Accumulator,” first published in Annals of the Institute for Orgonomic Science, December, 2011. (Link to download the article appears below) A shortened version of the article will be posted on this page in both Spanish and English soon, so that all participants can read the text prior to the event. Bennett will not read a lecture; rather, after a very brief introduction, he will facilitate a discussion of the issues raised. For the discussion we ask that everyone first read the article.
Spanish translation will be broadcast on a separate audio channel during the Zoom meeting. In order to access the Spanish language audio channel, participants will need to be running a supported Zoom client:
Philip W. Bennett, Ph.D.
Philip Bennett is a retired philosophy professor; he earned his PhD from New York University in 1972. He has had an interest in Wilhelm Reich’s orgonomy, the science of orgone energy, since the early 1960s, but he is now mostly known for his work on Reich’s social and political concepts, with a specific focus on “work democracy.” Bennett has often presented at the summer conferences at the Wilhelm Reich Museum; most recently, he gave a talk on the Orgonomic Infant Research Center at this past summer’s conference held online. He has lectured extensively, and has published ten articles in peer reviewed journals on different aspects of Reich’s work. (Click to see Philip Bennett C. V.) He is completing his book, From Communism to Work Democracy: The Social and Political Thought of Wilhelm Reich.
