“A Critique of Myron Sharaf’s Fury on Earth“

A live streamed talk by David Brahinsky, Ph.D., with questions from participants

(Presented in English only)

Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 3PM ET

Dr. Brahinsky will present a summary of a paper that he wrote in 1983, shortly after the release of Myron Sharaf’s biography of Wilhelm Reich,
Fury on Earth. The brief presentation will be followed by a discussion including questions from participants.  A version of this paper was published in the Journal of Orgonomy.

For this event, we are providing a link so that participants can download the paper and read it in advance.  Please review the paper, as only a brief overview will be presented during the zoom meeting before we get into the discussion.  Our intention is to discuss a paper with which the participants have at least some familiarity.

David Brahinsky, Ph.D.

David Brahinsky. is a professor of philosophy, humanities and comparative religion at Bucks County Community College, Newtown, Pa. He received his Ph.D. from Binghamton University in 1976. David also created a school in what is called “The Fourth Way” which teaches work on oneself via the methods of G.I. Gurdjieff. He included the discoveries of Wilhelm Reich as a fundamental aspect of the school’s teachings. David has published a book, “Reich and Gurdjieff: Sexuality and the Evolution of Consciousness” and a number of articles, including a critique of Herbert Marcuse’s understanding of Reich, and Reich on the roots of fascism (these have been published in the Annals of the Institute for Orgonomic Science).
